Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery is the oldest and the biggest Nursing Faculty in Southeast of Iran. The Faculty is known as a pioneer in three pillars of nursing (education, research, and practice). It is also involved in the national level policy making and activities. Being involved in international activities (international students, collaboration, research projects) is also a part of its policy. Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery is proud of its history of education fifty-five years and pioneering position in research. Established in 1962, admitted 18 students and the first group graduated in 1999. Since the establishment, this faculty has always been one of the reputed schools in the country and region.

1962: Established

1965: Graduation of the first group of nursing students

1982: Admission of students in the associate degree in the fields of nursing, midwifery, anesthesiology, surgical technology (operating room technology), radiological health sciences, and a one-year course of practical nurse.

1983: Changing the name to Razi School of Nursing and Midwifery College

1985: Admission of students in bachelor's degree in nursing

1986: Admission of students in bachelor's degree in midwifery

1990: Admission of students in the master's degree, and the Departments of Community Health and Psychiatric Nursing have been established.

2006: Admission of students in the doctoral degree in nursing (Ph.D.), the beginning of the admission of students in the associate degree in Prehospital Emergency Care, and the master's degree in Pediatric Nursing was established.

2008: the Intensive Care Nursing and NICU master's course were launched and the first students of these courses were accepted.

2022: Admission of students in the bachelor's degree in Prehospital Emergency Care

2022: Admission of international students in doctoral degree in nursing (Ph.D.), and students in the bachelor's degree in Prehospital Emergency Care.

450 students are studying at undergraduate level
(Nursing = 317, Midwifery = 110, Prehospital Emergency Care = 23)

* Postgraduates: 115 students are studying at postgraduate levels
(M.Sc. in Nursing = 75, M.Sc. in Midwifery = 25 Ph.D. in Nursing = 12, International Ph.D. in Nursing = 2)
