Midwifery counseling is a non-continuous master's degree course as a branch of midwifery, which by strengthening the management, educational, research and professional conduct, provides full counselling services and timely referral of women in various fields of sexual and reproductive health. It is in different stages of life.

History:

This field was established in Razi Midwifery School of Nursing in 2012.

 Purpose and mission:

The main mission of this program is to train knowledgeable, capable and committed human resources based on cultural, moral and spiritual beliefs and values, who perform their duties in counseling and guidance in the field of midwifery and timely referral of clients to receive more specialized services. Also, the training of skilled learners according to educational standards, in order to provide consulting services in the fields of health, education (face-to-face and virtual), research and management in the professional field of consulting in midwifery.

 The scope of this group's services in the fields of health, treatment, rehabilitation, education, care and support are from the level of primary care to the provision of services and specialized care based on the highest standards of care with the needs of changing society.

Guiding students to achieve the highest technical and professional qualifications, continue their studies at higher levels and obtain the highest ranking at the national and regional level, organizes retraining courses and counseling with domestic and foreign universities. To satellite colleges, hospitals and comprehensive health centers and create suitable teaching conditions and provide innovation fields in studies, teaching methods in the faculty, planning for educational adaptation to the needs of the society, improving skills and scientific value. Professional counseling in midwifery is one of the other missions of this group.
